HeroQuest Dice Roller

Designed for use with the classic physical boardgame HeroQuest, this html 'app' (runs on most common web browsers) is a virtual 'dice roller', for when using real dice would be impractical (travelling, for example) or too noisy.

To use it, just click the button for how many dice of each kind you wish to roll, or click the buttons under each individual die to roll them separately (this is also good for abilities that allow a re-reroll). You can also click “Roll All” to roll *all* the dice at once!

I included various cosmetic styles for the dice, including the core style and Frozen Horror style as found in the official Hasbro App, but I also made custom representations of the sadly limited run Veil Dice (aka Rise of the Dread Moon) and Jungles of Delthrak dice too. I have to live vicariously through this web app since I was never able to get the Veil/Dread Moon dice or mat unfortunately (if anyone has a spare set, I would be very grateful indeed!).

Inside the archive (zip) is the main html file to run and the needed media files; keep everything in its subfolders so it all works. You can open the html file on a PC browser or locally on a tablet in a browser that supports external files. You could also copy it to a private server and access it from the internet that way, but if you do PLEASE do not make that server version public and just use it privately. I would rather people download this file here (where it may be updated and maintained) than have it accessible for general use over the internet.

This app has been tested both on a desktop PC (via Chrome and Edge) and on iPad (via iCab Mobile, which lets you run local html files). I see no reason it can't work on a Linux or Mac setup as long as they can run normal html and javascript. If you have any issues, let me know and I'll try to help if I can.

Although it may not look like it, making this tool took a lot of work (more than my cards and such), so if you like it and use it, then please consider donating whatever you can afford.
